Hi! I'm Bridgett - a Seattle WA native, an artist, and therapist—thank you for visiting my page. 

Gaining individuals trust and honoring the therapeutic space are central to my role as a therapist.  As I reflect on my childhood, the makings of a therapist were there from my earliest memory.  As a child, I was fiercely independent and a little nosy.  If someone had a story to share, there I was front and center.  My wonderful adult neighbors indulged my curiosity, welcomed me into their sacred spaces, and graciously endured my inquisitive nature.  Those poignant moments taught me how to respectfully engage and the artistry it requires to do so.  

I believe therapy is art.  Merriam-Webster defines art as, "an occupation requiring knowledge or skill."  As an artist, I draw upon my education, skill set, direct service experience, and continuous clinical training.  I love to travel and spend time with my community of love, be in and around nature, and am grounded by my faith in Christ.  There are so many facets to this amazing field, particularly the restorative nature of our brains.  The path toward healing can at times be intimidating and mysterious; yet it’s an empowering process leading to new discoveries and triumphs. This is how I would also describe my start in social services.  

My initiation into the mental health field was in 1989, when I served as the payee for an outpatient psychiatric clinic.  Since then, I've worked in the jewelry industry as a Gemologist for a decade before returning full-time to social services.  I continue to design and make jewelry as part of my self-care routine.  For the last 12 years, I've worked with clients throughout the U.S. before moving back to the Pacific Northwest in 2016.
